Snoop Dogg Introduces Death Row Cannabis, His Latest Weed Venture

Cannabis and hip-hop mogul Snoop Dogg announced his new weed brand—Death Row Cannabis, named after the label Death Row Records.

Founded in 1991 by The D.O.C., Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, Michael “Harry-O” Harris, and Dick Griffey, Death Row Records was purchased by Snoop Dogg in early 2022. Death Row Cannabis will be a ‘connoisseurs brand’ cultivated by legendary grower AK. Its first product coming to market are eighth-sized bags of flower, and it will be in stores in Cookies retail locations across California beginning the first week of 2023.

You may be familiar with AK’s work as he is the current Vice President of Cultivation for TRP LLC, the parent company that owns a majority of the Cookies retail storefronts across the country including its large retail footprint in Florida. AK is also known for creating the popular brand SMKRS. His reputation for growing premium cannabis and selecting winning strains has created a cult following for all of AK’s cannabis industry projects.

Death Row Cannabis published a teaser about the brand’s new offerings on its Instagram, produced by MylarMen and Kevin Gilliam aka DJ Battlecat. Alongside eighths, consumers can expect to find diamond-infused pre-roll packs among the products created by Death Row Cannabis. The packaging is a sleek silver bag with gold accents. It showcases a redesigned version of the brand’s prisoner logo, with his left hand free, holding a joint.
