Raw Garden Launches Cannabis-Infused Vegan Gummies

-

Its first foray into the edible product market, California’s mainstay Raw Garden announces a new multi-flavor bag of cannabis-infused gummies. The 100-milligram bags contain 20 gummies that come in a variety of naturally-derived flavors. The gummies feature freshly-frozen cannabis grown by Raw Garden’s single-source farm in Santa Barbara County.

Each gummy contains 5mg of THC and is scored down the middle. The unique design offers both form and function for the consumer: it makes it easy to cut the gummy in half for a smaller dose if desired, 2.5 milligrams. The number of fruit pairings is limitless. Flavors are Watermelon, Meyer Lemon, Bing Cherry, White Peach, and Wild Strawberry.

The gummies from Raw Garden are available at select retailers across California. The company currently grows thousands of unique cultivars on its 85 acres near the Central Coast. Its CEO and co-founder John De Friel is a fourth-generation farmer as well as a chemical and biological engineer. He says each cultivar can take up to 9 years to stabilize. “We’ve produced over 15,000 breeds, and we have over 25 million seeds in our seed bank,” he says.

Raw Garden is a Clean Green Certified cannabis cultivator that utilizes the best of agricultural farming methods and applies them to the weed world. “My mom’s side of the family has been farmers on the West Coast for over 150 years,” De Friel says. “I’ve grown pretty much every crop. We use a lot of that knowledge around building Raw Garden. That’s really where Raw Garden came from. Many people in my family told us: ‘If you want to resist being overly commodified, you need to be a branded company, not just an agricultural producer.’”
